Qualifications and Experience
During his education at Orange County Community College (OCCC), Todd accepted an internship with the award-winning firm, Degraw and Dehaan Architects. This developed the foundation for his work ethic and enthusiasm for architecture in which he continuously exercises, today. After graduating from OCCC in 2000, Todd transferred to the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) to further his architectural studies. During this time he also worked for Keller Sandgren Associates, another award-winning firm.
Upon his graduation from NYIT, Todd returned to the Hudson Valley to apply his knowledge and architectural skills. He accepted a Project Manager position at the award-winning firm, Matthew Bialecki Architects. It was here that Todd began to discover the importants of sustainable design techniques to create a high quality, efficient, beautiful and ultimately appropriate type of architecture. Todd was also able to refine his project and construction management skills through his involvement of both high-end residential and commercial projects.
In addition to several high-end residential projects, Todd has also been involved in commercial projects such as: A major addition and renovation to the Thomas Bull Memorial Golf and Ski Lodge in Montgomery, NY; The Sam’s Point Conservation Center in Cragsmoor, NY; A new Commissary Kitchen for Mrs. Green’s Natural Market in Scarsdale, NY. Todd was the project manager for a new Radiation Oncology and Urology Medical Facility for Integrated Medical Professionals in West Nyack, NY, which included design development, construction documents and construction administration. Todd was also the project manager for a new twenty (20) single family home development in Wesley Hills, NY which included the design, coordination, construction documentation and marketing of all twenty (20) homes.
At Hudson Design, Todd continues to develop his management and design skills, as well as focusing his efforts on incorporating Building Information Modeling (BIM) into project coordination. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Todd also coordinates sustainable strategies which results in architecture with high performance and low environmental impact.
Todd is currently completing the Architect Registration Examination for the Connecticut Board. Todd is also an instructor for the Architecture Department at Orange County Community College. Within this educational setting he is able to share his knowledge, passion and professional philosophy with those who are interested in such a rewarding profession.
